The map's being cheated. The program only stays open if there's some error message to display (mostly).

Notice that the file size increases after you drop it on the program.

Uh. I extracted it to a folder, then dropped a map on it. It opened, gave an error and quit.

Either you are running a program thats usin the map or you must deprotect the map

Maybe the MPQ header is corrupt? Could you post the map?
