Too long ago, I can't remember. I think I kept playing Tropical Tower Wars with someone, and we would always pwn pretty badly. I was watching him for part, wondering how he did so well, and I realized something was funny, or he accidentally typed a cheat into my chat, I'm not sure. Anyway, I got the activator from him, Googled the cheats, and stumbled across this. Tried the guides, couldn't cheat, requested two maps... and then I suddenly got it, and turned around and starting hacking maps for everyone.
That's my best theory right now. It's entirely possible I was just tired of people maphacking at Island Defense, and I Googled "WC3 custom map cheats" and got here.

About 2years ago, while I was searching "Fight of Character" and I found this site, I bookmark but didn't open this site for a long time =X
But now I love wc3edit :lol:

I was epicly addicted to some RPG but.... i dunno there was some bug in it that didnt allow you to advance farther in some dungeon ...... sooooo you couldnt finisht the main quests either... so thnx to -tele i finished it nao i luv Wc3edit.net

Cause of the bump I read this topic - and liked it - so I'll unlock it again :P
I started the forum on cheap shared hosting just to have a place to dump my maps, never knew it would become that big! At the time I started I had to figure out how to hack maps using mpq tools myself. Mpq was already well known cause other blizzard games like d2 used it. But since there were only few guys releasing hacked maps and no one made a tutorial on how to do so (they actually were total pricks about it) I had to find out how using try and error.
