It's a sticky, silly. You're always allowed to post in stickies, and anything higher.

Unless it's locked, but that shouldn't be a problem, since you can't really post...lol

I will look into it, but I'm a complete bone head when it comes to making movies .
You know why the Yankees always win, Frank?
'Cause they have Mickey Mantle?
No, it's 'cause the other teams can't stop staring at those damn pinstripes.

I'll help you my double-o negro. We can add some voice also, so that it is clear and to the point instead of that type-writer crap ;)

I have gone through this guide, and I have to say it is a very good guide on restoring units. You get to learn a lot of scripting/coding through this tutorial too. Restoring objects on the map such as creeps is one of the hardest things to recover after unprotecting a map. Me, I have a bigger issue I've been trying to deal with for months. It is the recovery of custom items in custom shops/buildings. Once the map is unprotected, the custom items are gone. I understand that map protection is done by deleting certain required files and eliminates the possibility of recovering them and decreases load times on a map. Is it impossible to recover items in a map unprotected?

No, it's possible to keep the custom objects. Just open the original map, extract the correct file, open the Object Editor, and hit File>Import Custom (whatever tab it is)... and choose the file you extracted.

So that you can get the right files, here's a list of the custom object files in a map.
war3map.j - Jass Triggers
war3map.wts - Strings
war3map.w3a - Abilities
war3map.w3b - Destructibles
war3map.w3d - Doodads
war3map.w3h - Buffs/Effects
war3map.w3q - Upgrades
war3map.w3t - Items
war3map.w3u - Units
