Does this search AND open the wc3 map? Or does it just open with a listfile?

When you choose to open a map, it opens it using the listfiles you specified. However, if there are any filenames missing (it how many filenames it has out of how many files there are displayed right below the part with all the files), then you can click the Auto Search button right below the Open button. It will generally find most, if not all, of the names.

Hi

I haven't been coding anything for a while and if I get down to it then this tool is definetly not what I'm going to start with.
But anyway, I see it has some issues with extraction folder (it usually extracts in the folder you ran it from or something like that), and also it often doesn't allow you to click "view image" for some reason.
If and when I update it, I will add a tree view probably, some modification functions (e.g. add file function) and I also want to make it work with WoW archives (though probably most people do not need to edit those).

Oh and I said it doesn't work well with large listfiles because I didn't bother to optimize that part of the program at all. It should take a considerably longer to open archives if you use a 10mb listfile.
About the search files feature: I don't think its actually useful, as far as I remember it will only find a filename if the same name is used in another map AND it is listed in that map's listfile. That is rarely the case, but it has a chance of finding something if the map youre examining uses something like hive workshop icons that are used in other maps too AND those other maps don't use proper protection.

This works great if you add MPQ Recover, MPQMaster, and this together. It finds pretty much every file. Each of them I have found usually miss a file or two, but between them they find everything. Just open the map in this program and add MPQ Recover's and MPQMaster's default listfile and you have an almost perfect listfile.

Can you make a separate jass deobfuscator which works outside a map?

Thanks

In the tools section, find JassDO. However, he built it into this tool, and I believe that he made some changes to the way it works, too. You might want to just use this, anyway.

Sadly, RMPQEx doesn't have the ability to add files back in. Your best bet is to create as good a listfile as possible with it, and then open the map, using that listfile, in Ladik's MPQ Editor, which can be found at http://www.zezula.net/
