I dont know if this has been happening to anyone else, but whenever i download a hacked map and put it into my wc3 maps file, i go onto Wc3 and look for the map, AND ITS NOT THERE!!!!!!! It is drving me INSANE, just last week it was fine, i didnt have his problem. Now, suddenly i got this retarded glitch and over 2/3 of my maps are MISSING!!!!1 But the most retarded thing is that the files ARE STILL IN THE MAPS FOLDER!!!!! Any suggestions? this is really driving me nuts!

If the file name is too long, it doesn't show. Shorten the map's file name, or put it in Maps/ instead of Maps/Downloads/. |

The only thing i dont get is that i had map names that were 20 characters long and they would work, now suddenly they dont.... also it wont read my hacked Bleach Vs Onepiece.... but thats what the file name is, and there is no way that is too long. EDIT: I also found that my hacked Element td map isnt being read either... this is the file name: "Element TD 4.0 Public Beta" There is no way thats too long, right? Also, is it okay that i put my hacked maps under "Maps\Download\Hacked maps?" or is that bad? |

You updated to patch v1.23. It's not the maps, it's the character limit. Just shorten the filenames of all of them, and you'll be able to see them again. And note that it's not a letter limit, it's a character limit, so that's numbers, letters, spaces, etc. "Bleach vs Onepiece" is 18 characters right there, plus it's probably got a version number, or a period. I'm not sure if WC3 includes the .w3x, .w3m, or .w3n file extensions in that character limit, but if so, then that map is at least 22 characters. |

Well, I dont feel better. I cant see ANY of my maps. I have shortened the names to 18 characters and it still isnt showing. Who the hell made it 18 characters? How the hell can anone have a proper name and version?

Just shorten the words to initials. Like, for Shopping Maul USA, you can just make it SM USA 1.45.w3x, or whatever version it is. Vegas, is that 18 characters, counting the .w3x at the end or not? I think it counts that towards the filename limit, too. |

It may have been at the limit with the extension, but it doesnt seem to be working with very little characters, also in my maps folder. |

I have patch 1.23 and I have maps with names longer then 40 characters. DotA Allstars AI+ v6.59 1.52 (Revolution 01) All my maps are showing, how long the name even is, like the DotA AI map above. |
