Title: I Just Lost the Game
To play with a router: nothing is required, just connect to the internet. To host with a router: There's a bunch of guides at http://portforward.com/ . Just find your router's model, and then find WC3, it will have a guide to show you how.
Multiple users on the same router: yes. Follow the guide that you find at the above site, but instead of just forward ports 6112-6119 for the one computer, forward them for each computer's IP.
Multiple users on the same CD-key: not on an official server. You might be able to if you're using someone else's server, but on the official B.Net ones (Azeroth, Kalimdor, etc.) each computer needs its own CD-key.

You can play using a router, but each computer that connects
to WC3 would need it's own CD-key. You can not access B.net
using a single CD-key multiple times.

But, if you want to use a router to play & you have multiple CD-keys,
here is the steps you'd take to do it. (Example using two computers)

"War1" refers to the game with the first CD-key of WC3 you have and "War2" the second one.
"I.P.1" refers to the I.P. of the first computer, while "I.P.2" refers to the second.
"Comp1" refers to the first computer, while "Comp2" refers to the second.

I'll be using my router in this example, Linksys BEFSR41.

1. With Comp1, click on Start -> Run, enter "cmd" -> enter "ipconfig" (one word, no spaces or .'s in ip") The I.P. found here will be called I.P.1
2. With Comp2, click on Start -> Run, enter "cmd" -> enter "ipconfig" (same as above, but let's call this I.P.2)
3. Start up War1 and go to Options -> Gameplay -> Game Port and set it to 6112
4. Start up War2 and go to Options -> Gameplay -> Game Port and set it to 6114
5. Open your web-browser and go to http://portforward.com/
6. On top-ish left, find "Router List", open it and find your router & click it.
7. Select the game you're trying to forward to (Warcraft III in this case)
8. Follow what it says to do until you get to the web-page for your router's setting.
9. Use this setting for your Port Range:
Application l Start l End l Protocol l I.P. Address l Enabled
War3 1 l 6112 l 6113 l (As it says) l (I.P.1) l Enabled (check it)
War3 2 l 6114 l 6119 l (As it says) l (I.P.2) l Enabled (check it)
10. You're finished! (Hopefully, anyways)

Try to connect to B.net. If it doesn't work... then oh well. = /
