Do you have .NET 2.0 or higher installed? Try running it in compatibility mode for XP, also. It might be a 64-bit incompatibility, but I thought all 32-bit programs were supposed to work on 64-bit. Weird.

Right-click on the file, go to properties. In the top bar, choose "Compatability".
Somewhere below, it should allow you to "Run this program in compatability mode for:", and then choose some old version of Windows.
Try XP if you can.

Doing it manually is usually better; you'll see things like cheatpacks that were already inserted, plus benig able to edit the jass, in the event of protections.
