Question for MDX squisher & BLP palletter

Hello there, I tried squishing an MDX file all it just did is for example:

Itachi.mdx, after squishing it will just result to:
Itachi_squished.mdx but no file size reduction. Can anyone help me with this?

My problem with BLP palletter is that after I double click the application it will just open and then close right away. I can't edit anything with it. Hopeful that anyone will help me with this.
