Yeah, they really should have fixed that particular defect before releasing their console. Prior to the Xbox red ring o death I've never had a hardware problem with a console. That being said, PS3 = win Final Fantasy Versus 13 > all Xbox games? I do believe so
Kupownage is right, give up with Microsoft. Everyone hates Windows, yet they love XBox??? Go don't click me a PS3 and save yourself some trouble.
Although I have heard of wrapping a bath towel around it and trying to overheat the xbox again will sometimes "fix" the issue it's too chancy. Nonetheless you could look into it.

Don't do the towel thing. People think that you're overheating it enough that you will melt the solder, and the connections will be working now. It's more likely to damage your Xbox, and it gets nowhere near warm enough to melt the solder. It's a temporary fix. Send it back to Microsoft, they'll be able to fix it. I'm pretty sure that even if your warranty ran out, they extend it by three years for all RROD problems.

Red ring o death isn't a misuse thing. It's caused by the fact that the fking POS overheats/ect and they didn't bother to fix the hardware kinks before releasing it. Continued on that note, why the hell havn't they fixed it YET?

On some of the newer ones, actually, supposebly, they did.
