WC3 Map Collision

Post by Nothinbeter2do »

Hey everyone,

First, I'd like to preface this as I am only asking this as I feel like I read somewhere map collision was patched. If it is still possible and still not to be discussed, please go ahead and lock the thread

Anyway, I always wondered how map collision worked. Was it a simple hash you could edit and set to the right value? Did it have to do with the jass files?

Thanks :)

Just wasting your time (believe me because i was the victim) even though u can solve map collision, u will faced to desync problem.

My way is different, the final purpose is change the map without another one re-download the map so i come to replace war3map.j when war3 load this file. After a long time research, study reserve engine, cracking software from the internet (around 3, 4 year from zero), i was able to do that but the result is DISCONNECTED IN GAME if i have traffic net jass function wahahahaha #&@^%$&!

Map collision is fixed since the first days of Warcraft, the game only check if the base map files are the same, other things like models are not checked by W3, so you can play with custom models and other stuff.
