I hate to point this out, but the way a toilet flushes (counter vs clockwise) actually has nothing to do if you're north of the equator.
Its also like standing an egg on the quinox, gj now try that 6mos later and watch it happen.

i'm kinda annoyed over those questions where its based on the way you look at it and they don't tell you which way you're facing (like the fan which i got wrong).

Its also pretty clear that the average is not 7.

It actually does. Clockwise is clockwise no matter how you stand. Sorry mate. If you're on the equator, it just sinks straight down, if you're north or south, it goes in the opposite direction of each other.

I think its just some random shit they come up with.. as no way its only 7.. and most of the questions are seriously dumb:
"Toilet method of flushing"
something with book sides.. dont remember
colors of a soup company i never heard about

stuff like that are guessing only.. and i got over 13 if I remember correctly.. so I think they just made up a number

For the record, it actually does have something to with whether or not you're north or south of the equator. It's called the Coriolis Effect You can read more about it here. That's a discovery.com link, too, so don't say it's unreliable.

Secondly, you mean equinox, which comes from the Latin bases aequi, which means equal, and nox, which means night.
Nextly, scientifically, there's no reason you can't balance an egg on any other day of the year. The superstition is that on the equinox, the pressures on the earth and the poles and whatnot cause better conditions for the egg to be balanced, but scientifically, there's no such force. As far as I know, you can do this if you have the perfect egg.

The coriolis effect was observed on Cannonballs being shot.

It actually has to insignificant an effect to change the way the toilet flushes, shooting the water out at a left or right angle has a much more significant effect.
I've read several non-fiction books that discuss this (in minor detail).

also nowhere in your coriolis effect link does it mention the word toilet.

"The Coriolis deflection is therefore related to the motion of the object, the motion of the Earth, and the latitude. For this reason, the magnitude of the effect is given by 2 sin , in which is the velocity of the object, is the angular velocity of the Earth, and is the latitude."

Another thing to notice is that cannon balls travels distance , your water being flushed travels downward.

Also is this your discovery.com link?
because it says itself that the corilis effect has too little of an effect.

"Ah, but this has all been a cruel and painful joke.
.
It turns out that even a toilet a mile wide might still be too tiny to exhibit Coriolan tendencies -- the water simply isn't hovering over enough latitudes to feel The Force. It takes a mass of air many miles in diameter to demonstrate the infamous toilet twirl, and even then, Coriolis is often foiled by friction with the ground and barometric high jinks.
So while all of this spinning and shoving can help explain prevailing winds and other large-scale phenomena, the twirl in your toilet is determined by jets of water filling the bowl, the shape of the drain, or, for those who cannot let this myth go -- and I've encountered many of them -- the Coriolis Fairy."

---

It does seem you believe me about that the equinox isn't the reason you can stand an egg on whatever day it occurs.
But just incase you disagreed, you can stand it on anyday (either end) you want.
It will take you alot of practice to stand it on the skinny end.
