Well local disc D says I got 165 GB free out of 285GB total.. so I got 120GB taken.. I opened local disc D. CTRL+A. Proporties and its taking about 60GB.. (58.8GB) including the hidden files..
So wtf? its almost x2 space taken for nothing.. whats going on here?

Not too sure. I assume your os is on "C".

Empty the recycle bin.
Turn off system restore for this HDD

Thanks for the help. Vegas was right. there was a system restore that took up 60GB..

I always turn that crap off because of its usage. I make regular backups of my os so I dont have to spend hours...days reinstalling my software after a crash. The rest of my hdd is expendable. (movies or music from internet). Pictures and personal crap are always burned to disc and a second hdd.

Also, the system restore feature is a haven for virusses and trojans.

Well I don't really have something to save.. If I have a project or somthing I upload it to a site or something (tough I lost my movie making project as it was over 100GB and I had no intention of gettin 20 discs or spend my life uploading it..)
It was a system restore from Windows7 that did it automaticly :)

I think so. If I recall, everytime I had a virus it showed me this folder.
