I've never gotten the "lemons" things.

What's wrong with lemons? They taste great.

I personally love lemons.

But it's a joke about a famous saying:
"When God gives you lemons, make lemonade!", to help you be optimistic. You may have bad stuff, but you can make something good out of it is the message behind it, or something.
They replaced "make lemonade" with "find a new god", because giving you lemons isn't really going to help, and it's just plain funny this way.
