How do you disable automatic message popping up?..whenever i receive messages it automatically pops up to the front....how do u disable it so when you receive messages, it's minimized?

Its really annoying when i DotA....i tab out cause someone messaged me...
And is there a way to do with without setting state to invisible or away..

I'm pretty sure it's:

F7 -> General IM -> Uncheck Flash IM window when new messages are received.

Weird, it seems like it automatically pops up when I'm typing or doing some sort of action...I tested it while being "away"...and it does not pop up even if I'm typing or doing some sort of action

Change AOL to Pidgin. One does not have that feature.

I usually don't have this problem because I have an AIM conversation window up pretty much all the time. If you leave it up, it shouldn't deselect your current window.

Okay, now I'm taking a guess that the reason it pops up is because I have no open instant messenger window, so it pops up, but when I do have an open IM (instant messenger window), it doesn't...

My friends say that theirs don't even pop up even if they don't got any AIM window open..

So is there a way without having an IM window open to make IMs never pop up?

Try different config's.
I can't be sure, since I never installed AOL ^_^
