Title: Assassin
I have a nvidea model 7. like 7700 graphics card for my sucky comp. It overheats and displays white stripes or one image (like a picture of one part of the monitor) and pastes it all over the comp.

Anyone know how i can stop the overheating (yes the fan sucks too)??

Have you tried updating your graphics card? Go to your card provider's website (google it if you don't know it) and find the upgrade that's made for your specific card.

Cleaning out the dust from your computer helps. You could also upgrade your fan, install a liquid cooling system, apply thermal paste, or any combination of those solutions to try and cool your card down.

Yes, Post is a little old, but somebody might stumble onto this thread and have an issue.

I had the very same problem, my fan wasn't working correctly, try putting oil or a lubricant on the fan, it fixes it right up.
