You guys suck.
I bring here xdep, and you, dekar, act like a moron;
-Giving yourself a FULL credit.
-When I ask you to REMOVE it, you don't do it.
-Spreading it's like you earn money from it.
Alright, let me explain you smth.
If my NOOB friend wouldn't post it here, this comm. would die, you would have 200 registerd users till 2008.
I hate him so much now, I want to kill him.
You know why this program was created for?
Private use.
And what your doing?
Your'e making it CHEAP! map protection are made so n0obs won't steal the maps and edit it.
What you do, is giving a nuklear bomb to a peasant. It sucks.
You maybe see me as a selfish person, I don't care, without me, this whole community were gone.
You better then about what I said.
I'm not asking you to remove it, because I found the most powerful way to protect my maps.

PS. I had this program before your friend posted it, and I began making my tutorial which was going to post the normal version, but, dekar just so happend to modify it, and make it better before I was done.

Also, posting your forum on other forums won't help.
Dekar, as I see you are very VERY selfish man, trying to advertise your forum everywhere by anything possible.
I started hacking maps way before this site even got up.

Grats at hacking maps, what do you mean by that, modifying them, and opening them by using a program not made by you?

ive just added my listfile and edited some configs!
and you dont need xdep anyway... the real pro work you
cant do with this tool!

Selfish scriptkiddie who thinks hes a "pro hacker", desperately trying to be special by not letting a public map deprotecting program be known to much people so he could be one of the few who could deprotect. He just wants some attention, to be special, to be hugged.

First, I would like to point out some things about xdep

--> The .wtg is still lost forever unless you have the infinite patience to rebuild it

Since this is true, any EDITS you want to make to the current script have to be done by editing the JASS (Which could be done easily without using xdep anyways - Export .j, Edit, Import .j)

--> There is protection AGAINST xdep by importing certain dummy files into your map which will prevent "deprotected.w3x" from opening in we

Since this is true, if you wanted to keep the "noobs with xdep" out, that just eliminates all candidates without MPQ programs or knowledge

--> Any triggers ('cheats') you add into the map after deprotection are limited to GUI (Unless you have JASS knowledge...which means you could of just plainly edited the .j script in the first place)

--> The map size gets significantly bigger after use and after using Vexorian or some other optimizing/protection program, the map will sometimes end up corrupt

--> All "supersafe" maps which store values in gamecache or use "advanced protection" are impervious to xdep and GUI triggers

I have to agree that the idea of having "noobs with xdep trying to be uber 1337 h4x0rs" is really intimidating and annoying to say the least but the situation isn't nearly that bad. Xdep, however "useful", is very limited as an editing tool IMO.

Also, took a look at the situation...Even if the xdep link got removed there are still numerous mediums of the program to be transferred from and to users. It's out, it's too late and no longer "for private use".

False, Why?

Myself included, Dekar and others were cheating maps before xdep surfaced in the forums using MPQ tools and .j editors. Even now we don't use it because we find it easier and much more effective to use other programs.

You [Shadow-Flare] seem to have knowledge in the cheating maps ordeal so instead of being counter-productive why don't you make yourself useful and help people out. Posting negative useless posts stating how much we "suck" isn't going to get you anywhere.

I don't mean to offend you but either smarten up or ship out (or do things the hard way and cause more ruckus and get banned)

Resolve this issue ASAP so we can all get on with our lives
