Hey, I am trying to recover somefiles but I am not sure on how to do it. First, how do I recover war3mapunits.doo? Also what about restoring war3map.w3i manually? I know that some protectors corrupt them, but as a said before I would just like to know how to do it. Sorry if it sounds demanding or anything but I am not sure how do it even though I have been deprotecting maps for a while (SG Forums). Thanks!

I think war3map.w3i is rebuilt if you deprotect using xdep
As for war3mapunits.doo, I suppose the only thing you can do is add a dummy file or find some way to rebuild it from the .j script.

Not my niche, sorry if I can't help :/

Well, does anyone know how to make a war3mapunits.doo file? I know if you look through the .j file you can find the spawning locations of preplaced items and buildings. I am trying to do this but don't know how to edit/make the .doo file. I have tried hex and such but it all comes to to look like jiberish.

I think he means rebuilding the war3mapunits.doo from the .j script not putting in a dummy

Well, I know how to do it by hand now, but it is REALLY a pain to do. Does anyone know if there is a way to play a building on the map by coordinates? Say I want to play a building at x,y is there a way to input those or do I have to do it by hand in the editor by looking at the corner of the screen to find it?
