Map Name: Hero Line Wars Lition v7.98 AI
Map Description: Hero Line Wars Lition is a two team map where players have heroes to defend their 2 lanes from creeps sent by the opposing team.

The map opened up in the world editor, but when I tried to save it, it gave me a bunch of syntax errors with the JASS code. I am unsure of how to continue.

I tried jassnewgen. I was able to save the map with the WE, but the newgen warcraft gives the message:
Could not hack game.dll Please post logs/ongameload.txt.
Can the map be deprotected to work with unmodded WE?

You get that message when you try opening the NGwarcraft, you wanna open the NG editor though.

I saved the map with NG Editor, but then the map doesn't show up when I start Warcraft (The folder HLWL I created has no contents when I try to find my map in the game).

inside ur downloads folder make a folder called "e" or smthing that u will remember tho rly short.
in that folder place ur map.

I tried this but there is a new problem: if I save the map with NG Editor, for some reason the map file's size decreases (391 kb to 348 kb), and when I find the map in Warcraft, the area where you choose the player options is blank! Also, when JASSHELPER is enabled, it displays syntax errors.

let me get this right..
the protected map works
the deprotected map works
the deprotected map is openable on JNG
when u save the map. it doesnt work.
well all i can say is..
1) you probobly changed smthing..
2) ur using an old outdated version.. there is a new version 1.24b. i dunno if it has any effect on JNG tho... just a guess
3) the deprotection process didnt go well..
well if what i said at the top is correct. then upload the map in the "not working phase" and ill see what i can work out.
