 I'll put it this way...if he doesn't know what ftp stands for then I'm not going to actually go off explaining it to him so I gave him something to relate to, if you disagree then everyone to there own opinion but honestly....you host a file and you transfer it. GG |

nope, its basically the same system like http, just the protokoll is different... it has some differences, the main difference is the file rights management. but for a normal user it looks like the same! ftp link ftp://web60f3:ZDF44Nmn@wc3edit.net/n00b%20file.txt http link http://wc3edit.net/stupid%20n00b%20folder/n00b%20file.txt both are delivering the same file 
so as you can see it isnt anything like torrent! you're using it very often for file downloads without getting any notice
