It was a hearing aid. He probably didn't know hearing aids roughly look like cell phones.

I knew. Someone on other sites said that he was laying because he wanted to sell those old films. Of course we know those are hearing aids. And noted that there was a "?" in the end of the sentence, I wasn't sure since I was quoting another site. Of course no one sure if he wasn't know or he was just a smart sell man, unless you know him personally.
