What the heck does it do? You didn't even bother giving us a description. A good description anyway, tell us how it exactly does this and what program.

ok sorry haha here
A "boss key" was added to many of the original DOS-based games. This was simply a key which you pressed when your boss was coming that hid the game and showed something that looked like work. This was usually a blank DOS prompt or a spreadsheet with irrelevant data. Too bad modern games lack this feature, huh?

So I tell my brother to shut the ... up. And my mom gets angry. "No computer for you!" Oops. Of course, I respond with, "I have a long-term physics project this year, and my written proposal is due tomorrow." Naive and stuck between my punishment and schoolwork, she allows me to use the computer as long as I'm only working on the physics. And she's going to check.

Unfortunately for me, she has recently learned what the "taskbar" is. If I were playing Warcraft and she came in, she'd be able to tell by looking at the minimized windows. This is where my quest began. How to I hide Warcraft really well? Maybe I can use AutoHotKey to make a "boss key" program! Or more of a "Parent Key."

With a little help on subroutines and a few functions from Elevator_Hazard, I whipped up the following script!

Here's how it works. You run the script and a box appears with the window title of your game. By default, "Warcraft III" is already there. If you're playing a different game or looking at porn or whatever, minimize the window and type in what the title is. Or you can Ctrl + Alt + Del it.

After you've got your window title, hit Ok. Then some instructions appear. Read them and hit Ok. It explains that you can set a decoy window; open up your decoy (such as a spreadsheet or text document) and press Shift + X. A box should appear saying that the decoy was a success. Minimize the decoy. This is optional. If no decoy is set, you'll return to your desktop.

Now fire up your game. The "boss key" is set by default to Shift + Z. This is a bit of a problem for people like Sniper who actually use capital letters online, but it's good for me. Press Shift + Z. Your game should minimize, and then the decoy window will open. And then... POOF! Your game disappears from the taskbar. And it's no longer in the Applications tab of Ctrl + Alt + Del. It is hidden from all prying eyes. Press Shift + Z once again. It's back and maximizes itself.
