How can I make an old map work on the new wc3 patch?

I want to develop this map but I don't know how to make it work on the new warcraft 3 patch.

My theory :
Open in newer WE than map and save make the map and repeat until to the lastest patch will work . It's keep sync the data to newer and newer

That method only work if u have the original map, without any optimization / protection.

That method only work if u have the original map, without any optimization / protection.
The map is already without any optimization / protection.
