Do you guys think the new version will support older cheatpacks?

If not then how much work would it take to make those cheatpacks compatible with the newer versions? (updating commands to support 24 players for exemple)

Am i right to think its going to be possible to directly change armor & attack speed & base damage using commands thanks to the new natives?

They're updating it to 24 people? They still anticipate that many people playing...?

It shouldn't be hard to update for most CPs. Most of the cheaters here should be able to do it themselves. The player number loop extends to 11 or so normally here. They'd just have to increase the loop to 23.

From scrolling through the list of WorldEdit changes/new JASS functions, it wouldn't be particularly hard to create commands to: delete hero ability, change (ability cooldown, armor, attack cd, base damage, number of attack dice, number of sides per attack die, unit name) for a selected unit, and disable or hide abilities for selected units (and undo). Obviously they've added more natives than that, but most of those don't seem like they'd have a lot of use for cheaters. Lots of special effect functions and commands to check for unit properties now, which is neat for mapmakers that want to make scripted events, not necessarily helpful to cheaters in the middle of actually playing.

As far as updating it, the biggest change is, as UndeadxAssassin said, handling the increased playercount. There are a bunch of player-specific functions that will need to be expanded or duplicated/edited to handle the new colors, and a bunch more places where loop control variables will need updating for the new total. I'll spend some time to update and test JJ's cheatpack once 1.29 moves from PTR to official release. I don't want to before then in case they make other changes.

Alright so it's all good, now the 1.29.1 has been released to live servers but there are still other bugs to be dealt with

So it's not really stable atm

So it's only a matter of time.

If they want to play 24 people in a map, they should updated the patches earlier stages and they should have the need to create other races, like Draenei, Nagas, Blood Elves and etc. The 4 default races is... outdated.
Also, they should shutdown their other games if they really want their servers to be played again, updating the patch 1.30 is pretty most likely that their incomes, sales are now lacking and need another platform to gain something. (This is mostly my opinion). >.< XD
