WC3 Map Error

I basically added 300 food to a map and changed the name of the map to Island-Defense.3.0.4 1.24.w3x and joined a game of Warcraft 3. While playing I had 300 food but everyone wouldn't move and claim I wasn't moving I suppose this is an error perhaps there map with only 150 food believes I'm doing the impossible or something. I said that pretty poorly but can anyone explain why it doesn't seem to work.
