hey all. I am going to be working on my shopping maul USA, but need a little help editing my units. This question may need a new topic, since its screwed up.


What happens is, when I import the newest jass into my USA map, everything works 99.9%, except for some units and their abilities.

For example. The one unit, which is new to my hacked version, I had to import it, but it doesnt work properly.

What happens is:

The tower has no base, and can be built on top of another tower.
Its supposed to get mana from the kills it makes, but it doesnt work properly.

Is there a unit editor to properly copy and paste from one map to another and it function properly? Am I importing the new tower to my map wrong?

That, or does anyone have an idea how to fix these 2 problems? I fear that to fix it, I would have to completely redo the whole map, which is ok, but very time consuming again.

About question 1:
Use the unit field "can be built on..." / "cannot be built on...".

This unit is a hero, that acts like a tower. Its copied and pasted from a working version of the same map. The weird thing is, it wont work properly i mine. I even imported my units to the other map, and this tower still acts the same.

Its a hero. I have tried most everything. I think all I can do is redo the whole map.


Possibly is this something in the jass to tell this hero to act more like a tower and have a base, and not be buildable on, or be able to build on??

What's the unit's collision size? If it's zero, that explains it -_-

collision is set right. Does anyone read my posts?

Dekar, well if it is coded in the jass, then I have been looking in the wrong spot the whole time.

I guess its time for file compare to see where the hell he put this new tower.

i really dont know where its coded... just make a new map and add just this one thing, than look at the files!

Dude! I know i am a jass/gui noob, but THIS I already did. I will have to file compare the difference between the jass versions, with and without this hero.

That, or simply add all my units to the new map, except this one, and it should work


BUT, thats what I was asking. I would like to add certain units, for example, a certain subsection of units, like orc/campaign. I dont want to add ALL the units, as it will probably screw things up. I will try it on the weekend to see how I can fix it.
