how do you restore units from the wa3map.j

units are in the war3map.w3u. descriptions for them are most times in the war3map.wts file

winmpq is a good one to use.

First off, there are alot of tuts posted in every subforum, regarding the subforum itself. Read just a TINY bit, and you will get the answer.


Secondly, (to mr. mod)DO NOT edit my posts. If you want to add something, then make a reply. These peeps need to learn how a forum works, by navigating and reading different topics. Then afterwards, they can learn a bit about the program itself by trying it for ... sakes, instead of asking someone to do all the work for them.

1)open the map in winmpq
2)click "mpq" then "extract"
3)look for the file "war3map.w3u"


there are your units

OPEN THe mpq editor
Open your map
Extract the war3map.w3u
Save it to Some Place
Open A Blank Map
Import the war3map.w3u
Open your Blank Map and go To the unit editor
There are your units
