I've never had this problem when I'm hosting. But, you can't lose connection with yourself, only with Battle.net. So maybe that's causing it? I doubt it has anything to do with the map (especially if it's a popular map). Besides, the most maps can do is kick you from it with a customdefeat, but that won't take you to the scores right away; not until you click on the "Continue" or "Quit Game" option, anyway.
