editing items in a protected map [how?]

Post by darkxion »

I know how to edit units in a protected map (thanks to some earlier help)
But what I can't figure out (and I did it once by accident) is how to get the custom items to show up in a blank map.
Any insight into how to do this would be really awesome, thanks in advance.

Extract war3map.w3t, go to object editor, file->import item settings and gg..

Edit your items, export it, then use MPQ master to re-import the new items.

Thanks! I tried that, but something is wrong, when I opened WE after importing the item settings, saving, and closing the map, WE hung on me, and was unresponsive. At least I know how now, though.
