Error: "Trigger function does not exist in database: ..."

Post by Triple_Dude »

I'm trying to edit the map "Monopoly EXTREME! 2.5a" (link HERE), but whenever I try to open it with WE, it errors with the message:
"Trigger function does not exist in database: DisplayTimedTextToPlayer"

And when I press on OK, it follows the error up with:
"This application has encountered a critical error:

Not enough storage is available to process this command.

Program: e:\program files\warcraft iii\worldedit.exe
Object: .PAVCWETriggerFunction@@

Press OK to terminate the applicaton."

I'm totally new to WE editing, so at first I thought it might be due to some sort of protection, so I used MPQMaster to extract all the war3map.* files, and then imported into an empty map, tried to open it with WE, and still no go. I read somewhere that replacing war3map.w3i with an empty file sometimes help, so I did that, but still no go.

I tried to use JASSNewGen WE, but it would simply crash on my computer whenever I tried to launch it (either directly, for by using we.bat) (Yes, I turned off all my anti-virus/firewall, since it's a known false positive).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you extract EVERY file and move them into a different map you just made the same map. Try jassnewgen.

Right, of course! How could I have not thought of that... Soooo stupid XD.

Only extracting the *.w3* files and the *.wts* file should work like a charm :D!
