Is it possible to combine the items from two different maps into one map ?
“Just the items”
and still be able to see / edit them in the world editor

-> Object-Editor
-> Items
-> File
-> export Item-Settings
don't know the right name because i have the german world editor. so you must search a bit xD

I don't think that will work, that overwrites item data..
WEU (enhancer) may work.

if I save with WEU enhancer will I still be able to open with WE
and where do I get WEU enhancer ?

weu enhancer comes with a WEU installation.. check start menu =/
I don't use it... but I think that allows you to do that and more, check it.
