How come it tell me i have an mb/s of 2 but when i go download stuff it's like 50-200 kb/s |

Because it tests in Mb (note the capitalization), whereas you download in KB/MB. 2Mb = 250KB. Divide your bits by 8 to get your bytes. |

That is due to the way the internet markets itself They tell you your speed on Bits and not Bytes. A bit is the smallest storage data that can hold either 0 or 1. A Byte is the smallest storage unit that holds 8 bits. |

I guess using bits makes more sense anyway. There are systems that have bytes not equal 8 bits. When measuring in bytes, browsing the internet from such a system would then make your internet speed faster or slower which makes no sense at all since the same amount of bits is transfered. |
