Tips on removing viruses?

Well, I have A LOT of viruses on my computer. I have no clue how to remove them. I used an anti-virus but when I click on the button to remove them. My computer crashes.

What's the AV you have? I can only reccom (or how it's spelled) Nod32 (get serials on net) or kaspersky.

Get a trial version of Nod32 or kaspersky or from Norton.

AntiVirus programs are meant to protect against viruses, not to clean an already heavily infected computer.

Actually, anti viruses usually don't stop a virus. But are more adept at removing them once they're on your system (they're easier to detect then to prevent).

So, they don't remove them? They just stop it from doing anything or something like that?

Most of them can remove better than they can prevent.
