you dont simply look at the failure part of your life.
look at the successful part of it too.
see now you are an admin, isn't that beautiful?

No idea what a debian is, but hey, doesn't sound nearly as bad as the times I've had problems with my computer! :P

Debian is a type of packaging system, usually for Linux.

Well, maybe it's not working, but hey... Obviously, several things are working, for you to be able to have posted!

I am feeling about the same way right now.
I currently can't boot up my computer. If I just let it boot normally, it finishes the XP splash screen and restarts. This goes on forever. If I try to go into safe mode, or anything else, it freezes when loading the file SPTD.SYS. If I hit Esc to not load it, it just sits there. If I don't hit Esc, it just sits there. I've booted into an Ubuntu live CD, and I moved the file, but that changed nothing, so I went into Ubuntu and changed it all back, just in case. I booted into Ultimate Boot CD, and I was able to edit the parts of the registry that refer to SPTD, disabling it from starting, but it hasn't done anything. Currently, however, when I let it boot normally, it finishes the splash screen loading, and then goes to CHKDSK. It works fine, except that when it gets to step 2 (checking indexes) it stops at 0%, and does nothing. I left it alone for half an hour, and it started restarting over and over again, so I turned it off.
Help?
