You can't? How do people have animated avitars then? ;o

his avatar is a GIF, make sure the GIF size is below the acceptable limit..
It also could have been changed when dekar updated to a new server.. Some stuff changed, like limit of map size was set to 4mb for a while.
(edit) I can set my avatar to this:
download/file.php?avatar=11107_1219487119.gif
which is a gif.
