Tuberculosis

I apparently have the latent version of it. Idonteven. The mantox test produced too small a reaction apparently, and thus the reasoning goes to that I have latent TB. Whereas my aunt who also went for the text got a slightly larger reaction, around 0.2cm bigger, was diagnosed as clear. I know I'm not a doctor at all but I find this so god damn ridiculous, just sayin'.

Now I have to take the damn medicine everyday and have to go back every month to have a checkup and take the medicine for next month etc for half a year. I mean, it's not especially the most transmittable disease, depends on sanitation and what not, even the doctors and nurses at the TB center weren't wearing masks even though TB is spread through coughs. I just probably slept too late for the past few days and immune system din't react to the mantox test too well I guess. Sooo I'm not supposed to take any alcohol for the next half a year.

Hurrah.

Have you gotten any scans? That test only shows if you've been exposed to it, not actually have it. Have you had cultures taken? Bloodwork?

X-ray turned out clean. No blood tests done, which is why I feel pissed that a .2cm difference and I have to take the fking drugs for half a year.

You probably don't have it, then. There should be noticeable cavities in your X-Ray if you have an active strain.

At least the pills are small enough to swallow without any water.

o.0. Like I said, it's not active ;D. Although, funny thing is, because of the test, the chances of it becoming active is much more likely now since it got agitated.

I've finished my course already. So the chances of me getting TB again is pretty damn slim.
