I had a shit day at work, and this actually made me chuckle. Come on boys, its really not as bad as what you make it out to be. Face it, MOST jokes are cruel to SOMEBODY. Whether it be racial, against a handicap, the church, or sex.

Hum...I actually ALMOST laughed. But the way you messed up the script in the few last lines, pretty much ruined it.

As for cruel jokes...I don't consider this one cruel at all. How is it cruel? It's not like it's making fun of mutes. At least, it doesn't seem so to me. Even if it was cruel, which, I don't think it is, if it's not racist or sexist, then it should be fine. Religious jokes are okay, since sometimes, they are really, really retarded. Handicap jokes...hum...I'm not so sure. Depends on what kind of handicap, I think.
