Hi guys, I want to check how a few triggers are done in dota 6.85 (attached) and which models they used for some spells. Will unprotecting the map allow me to do this? If so, can someone please help?

Cheers

You won't be able to view the triggers in the World editor, you will have to look at the .j file but you have to know jass coding.

Thanks, simple reading is fine for me. What about the objects file, any way I can easily check these?

This might be what you are looking for.

If you extract the files from the map, you can sometimes import some of those files into a blank map, such as the abilities and units.

Not sure if it's because this tool is no longer maintained, but it cannot find my warcraft 3 (reforged) directory, even though I direct it to it. CASCview works, so I don't think it's a mistake on my side.

For objects, go into an MPQ Editor and export the war3map.w3u, war3map.w3t, and war3map.w3a files. Open up the world editor and make a new blank map. Open object editor and import them as Units/Items/Abilities.

For imports, simply export the file from the MPQ archive.

No deprotection needed for any of that.

Sorry could you explain this a bit more detailed please?
I downloaded MPQEditor > draged&dropped the map into the empty field > click OK, but don't see any files with ending .w3u or w3t (w3a yes)

And what is the MPQ archive?

MPQ archive is the map.
Use RMPqex to load the map and extract all the files. Save the 3 files that owner123 said, and delete the others.
Open up World Editor and make a new map.
Import the 3 files into the Units/Items/Abilities part of your map.

Thanks, but I only find 1 of 3 files which Owner123 mentioned after extracting... is this also part of the protection?
