Title: The Scribe of God
Map Name: U9_Choice Battle 2.7a Fix 1.w3x

Map Link: https://vk.com/doc26543320_471919307?ha ... a56817f689

Request: I'm not sure how best to request this, but I would like to translate future versions of this same map myself and would like to learn how I can do this.

My goal for this map is to only translate future versions so that I can play with my friends.

Thanks in advance to anyone who could do this!

You don't need to deprotect a map to translate it, just extract the script and others 'war3map.xxx' files, edit it on a text tool, like notepad++.

Thanks for your help, but I believe that by following the step-by-step, I found some files that seem encrypted to me.

I'm not going to lie, I'm new to it, I'm trying hard to learn the best methods to solve this.

Editor: Notepad++

Try to import it to the World Editor then... it's way more tiring but at least works.

I am learning slowly, but I would like someone to give me the master tip of what I need to do to solve, it would be very useful some tutorial, images, videos or gifs.

At the moment I find that I need to transform the files with a hex reader, but I did not figure out how to do it, and then return to the starting point to make the map work.

If anyone knows an easier way to manipulate the files, or turn them into .lua I'll be extremely grateful!

In Notepad++ I clicked encoding and changed it to utf-8. I'm afraid with this file you can't just simply copy all the text
You can now copy text into google translate but be careful of any special characters like NULNULNUL. You will screw up the formatting.

Another easier way would be to enable utf characters in WE to edit each field individually (When you import the file to WE). Time consuming, but cleaner and no risk of screwing up the coding somewhere.

Is there any tutorial here in the forum that teaches you to import specific files for the WE and then exports them?

1. Open World Editor;
2. File > New Map;
3. Press OK;
4. Open Object Editor by pressing F6;
5. Now you can import the w3a, w3u... let's take the one you uploaded as example;
    5.1 Click on Abilities;
    5.2 File > Import Ability Settings;
    5.3 Choose the w3a file and done.

After you edit it you can export by clicking on Export Ability Settings.
