Good news, it turns out that version of the map was not in fact made by anteep. I have also figured out that that map was probably run through an optimizer. I have found an earlier version that is completely unprotected, all the versions by anteep were unprotected. It does not have as many features as the newer one, however by referencing a deprotected version of the "new" one that i want restored, I will be able to get the map as it should be and make the balance fixes that I desire.

I have everything pretty much the way I want it now, but I need to copy some units over from .83 still, and it is a little challenging. I would like to copy the advanced technologies center and the researches / the satellite launch. I would also like to copy over the abilites those researches unlocks for capitol cities, satellite strike and last resort attack, the nuclear missile launcher, If anyone would like to help with this I can provide a deprotected copy of .83 and my unprotected copy that I have been modding.

Why not just import the units from the new map to yours. You should also see where the units are not linked to triggers (for example) and then you can edit your triggers accordingly.
