So old - And probably not that efficient or people would use it.

I mean it heats it up - You need to burn things to do that efficiently. Using electricity likely produces more CO2 than burning the waste.

Efficient, not completely, but if someone had one running all the time with shitloads of plastic, they could be fueling for "free".

As far as the energy requirements go for this machine, i guess it depends on the source of the electricity. Burning coal could be burning as much energy as would be created in fuel. Using electricity from water or wind power wouldnt use any othe non-renewable resource, have no emmisions, and be healthy for the environment.

Its almost a devils circle.
