Title: learning GUI
can someone give me the highlights or a tut on how to convert jass to gui and the specifics about gui? as i understand it some maps need to be converted to gui to work with the newest patch (wc3 map not found).

You can't. Unless you do it manually. And they do not need to be converted to GUI to be made compatible with 1.24, they just need to have a few modifications here and there.

This is a rather nice guide. As far as I know, it works for 1.24b, but I'm not 100% sure.
