I haven't been here in a while, have I?

My apologies. But, I could use your help again. xD You see, I've recently been fascinated by AI in games like DotA, Hero Line Wars, and in various Arenas, along other maps. And mostly, I've been wondering what in the world makes them tick. Unfortunately, the maps have some rather nasty protection, so I'm unable to access the library, so to speak. Hence my requests, so I can finally see what makes them work and learn to do it myself.

Shall we begin then?

Hero Line War Lition, version 7.98 with version 2.0 AI

Map Name: Hero Line War Lition V7.98 AI (v2)

Map Description: It is essentially your traditional Hero Line Wars. Two teams fight back hordes of creeps, those who last the longest win. The AI buys creeps and seems to work just fine, so I'd like to know how it's done.

Map Link: Shall be uploaded as an attachment

Request: Deprotect the map and recover all objects, triggers, spells, items (everything, I guess would be the right word)

Compatibility: Unfortunately, this particular version does not work with 1.24 as it was released in November of 08.

Any help here would be appreciated, as I'd adore getting the chance to understand the AI as it seems to be more of a sworn to silence thing. No one will say how they do it, nor do they leave their works open so people may learn.

We don't do recovery. I can just deprotect it if you'd like, but that'd be it.

Instead of the afore mentioned error, I just get unit data missing or invalid, so to me, that is progress. XD Thanks again.

If I might ask, where do you get magic?

It's a tool that is remaining private-ish by request of the author.

not to be a jerk or anything to the mods and everyone who manage this site but i was reading the descriptions on Map Requests and it says:

This is where you request a map, from recovering units, to enabling single player on RPGS, to cheating a TD.

again not to be mean just stating what it says =\

I think there was just a bit of a mixup. We don't do recovery, meaning that we do not recode the map, restoring all the triggers and such, since that would take quite a bit of time and effort, not to mention if the map is huge and has many triggers named IlIlllIl it would be insanely epic.
