$ means its hexdecimal number.

is actually 15
I use this site: http://www.easycalculation.com/hex-converter.php
write the letters and numbers without the $ and replace it with the decimal numbers you get on the site above.

Just ignore the $. It doesn't affect the map in any way.

You cant ignore them from WE. It wont let you to save the map with those triggers.

the $ errors aren't important thats true
Though if you look for errors (thats why you ran syntax check right?) so you find any.. all you will see is $ (jew pawah? )

Look at the decimal version, 125. Three places. There is a 5 in the 1s place, a 2 in the 10s place, and a 1 in the 100s place. That means that the number is comprised of one 100 plus two 10s plus five 1s, aka 125. Each time you move one place to the left, the value of the new place is ten times the previous one (More technically, the place farthest to the right is 10^0, and each time you go one place to the left, the value of the exponent increases by one). You following so far?
Now, with hexadecimal, something different happens. Instead of only having the digits 0-9 for each place, rolling over to a 1 in the next place if the value increases above 9, you now have the digits 0-F. The first place, all the way on the right, is the 1s place. However, you can now have all the way up to 15 (decimal) in the ones place, aka $F. If you add 1 to that number, it will roll over to the next place, the 16s place, and become $10. One 16 and zero 1s. Each time you move a place to the left, the value of that place is sixteen times the previous one (again, more technically, the one on the right is 16^0, and the value of the exponent increases by one each time you move left). $125 would be one 256, two 16s, and five 1s, or 290 in decimal. Big difference, eh? You can always translate hexadecimal code by just using a hex>dec converter, but if you want to do it yourself, now you understand the principles.
