I'm new to worldedit and I have a question.

From what I understand from your restorign preplaced units guide, I take the unit code from the triggers, open object editor, switch to raw data, and use the find tool to find out what unit it is, and then i place it manually at the defined coordinates.

Do you have to do this for every preplaced unit? Or only certain ones?

also: the link to unprotect directs me to the site, but that page has been removed or is down. Are there any other links for the unprotect program? I couldn't find any with google.

Thanks.

You need to do that for all of the preplaced units.

Hm, you're right. Rveach's site is up, but his Unprotect page is down.
Here, I have a copy of the latest version.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I deprotected 1 map(xdep + silk). I have all custom objects and stuff, but this app shows me msg "there was a problem. go back and fix it" when i check "special fix" option. Also app crashes when i check restore GUI (i dont need this op so much tho)

+edit:

1. How can i get files that are "yellow marked" in rmpqex with name "fileSomething.xxx .blp .mdx ?

2. Silk (v3) restored preety much custom objects, but in object editor most of its names are corrupted :S Also most of the tooltips are corrupted :( Is this fixable?

Thx

How do you fix the special fix, copy everything about the initialization of etc etc to initglobals, I tried doing that and the error is still there.

Don't use the special fix button. That's only for a few maps, it will just mess up most. Wasn't a readme included?

In RMPQEx, you hit Auto search a few times, and it will find most of the names.

Try using SOC again? I don't know if it's fixable; never had that problem...

Ofc i hit it few times always :D But what happens when i still cant get em? Is there a way to resovle they "manualy" ?

About SOC, i downloaded newer version (v3.33). I dont have crashes with this version but sometimes it 'stucks' (still respnding but not doing nothing for infinite time). Also, i have sometimes problems when i import restored objects by silk into my map, WE cant open it anymore. WE shows me msg "CustomObject blabla error" "custom object missing or invalid". You know how to fix it?

Thank you very much for your answers!

+edit: should i keep using soc 1.2 or just newest 3.33 version?

I didn't know there's a newer version!
I haven't used this version enough; I don't know much about it. I don't know how to fix it, sorry. Try it again, I guess.

Try unchecking Restore GUI before you run it. Other than that, I can't really help you. I've never gotten this program to work reliably. Some maps have protections that it can't beat.
