A couple mapmaking quesitons

Well heres a bunch of questions from me for WE; im gonna update this post periodically, i.e. whenever a question is answered or i have another.


- UnAnswered - Answered


- How do i make units trasparent?

- How do i make units unselectable during gameplay?

- How do i make a spell-book were i can specifically level up a selected abitlity in the book?

- How do i make units constantly invisible, i.e when attacking or casting a spell?

- How do i make units attack with items, i.e the game "battleships"- they attack when they have items

- How do i lock the camera to a small area, i.e "skibi's castle" whenever you play a mingame

- How do i make units transparent and able to attack? (permanent banish is a way to make units transparent BUT it disables thier attack)

- How do i remove hero icons from the left side of the screen, i.e having creating a hero unit without having thier icon appear

The attack with items one:
Give the item an item ability based off of phoenix fire, and whichever missile you give the ability will shoot from the unit holding the item at nearby enemies.

Lets see if I can answer a few of these....

Hmmm, well, I guess you could change the units color, or is it an animation type...

Well, its either in the object editor or you can do actions - unit change color / animation change size or around that area... hmm...

Maybe make someone permanently banished with 0% movement slow or ... yeah, whatever =/

Give them the ability locusts or whatever, easilly done with WEU its just the first one on the custom - text based abilities listed I believe... That or you can use my NL type idea - (noleavers) in my pack it constantly forces all non-xantan types to hit escape. This really messes with them so they cant leave, cant really click anything, or cast anything.

Isnt there an ability or something - Permanent Invisibility?
Or perhaps make a trigger something like:
events: a unit does anything
conditions: unit is in invisgroup (random unit group or personal unit w/e variable)
action: give unit a invis pot, order unit to use invis pot...

or something alike..

Cinematics - Pan Camera, or somewhere around there.

You know theres a blizzard version of skibis td thats completely unprotected? check it.
